Over the weekend members of ISG and the Decipher Hip-Hop strip participated in a theatrical Hip-Hop production called "The Greatest Hip-Hop Cover Story Ever Told". Over 30 local area artists were featured and the after party for the production on Saturday involved DJ's spinning original samples and breaks used in classic Hip-Hop songs. In keeping with that theme DJ 2-Tone Jones blessed listeners with a mix of Hip-Hop gems and the original grooves that were used to produce them. Plus, the lovely Claudette Monet joined us to help give the show a woman's touch.

Northern VA's hip-hop heros, Team Demolition, join the ISG crew to discuss landing production on the new 50 Cent album and to serve as judges for the "Ill Street Grooves Producer Showcase II". Team Demo, along with DMV-producer Surock, sat down to listen to 3 rounds of beats amongst 3 producers who all used the same 3 songs to produce 3 tracks. This showcase featured production by HecDolo, Choppy Chop and E-Minor.

The ISG crew comes back from the Halloween weekend to rap with local artists on the rise, Fly Gypsy. They kicked it with the team to discuss their latest EP, "Change for a Dollar" and their "Vodka and Rum" Mixtape. We were also visited by J Records recording artist Lola Davis, who not only blessed us with her presence but also dropped a live gem on us. Plus, DJ's RBI and 2-Tone Jones tag teamed on the 1's and 2's throughout the show.

The ISG crew continues on with the 3-part D.I.T.C. Dedication series as they highlight the work of one of Hip-Hop's most underrated producers, Buckwild. The Superfunk Regulator DJ Celo joins DJ RBI and DJ 2-Tone Jones on the wheels of steel. Plus DC's own, Pokerface Proverb joins the crew as they pay tribute to one of the greatest crews in Hip-Hop, D.I.T.C.!
